Plaid and Suede

This outfit was designed around the shirt. The Elliot Lauren navy and orange button down is the perfect length to wear with a pair of skinny jeans. I chose a gray faded pair from Express to make the navy and black come together with the warmer hues. The knee-high suede boots are by Michael Kors, these boots are very versatile, you can wear them as knee highs or slouch them due to the elastic trim at the top of the boot. (And PS, if you own anything suede hold onto it for spring, because suede is a huge trend for this coming spring season.)

The fleece lined waterproof black coat is by Tribal, and it is perfect for a transition coat into spring. The cognac leather messenger purse is by Foley & Corinna, and makes for an ideal bag to own by carrying it three different ways: a tote, cross-body messenger or as a longer shoulder purse. Needless to say, this purse is very versatile, but the quality of this bag is worth noting- it will last you just as many years as a large breed dog (and maybe even more, depending on the breed). The beige fedora is from New York and Company- an oldie, but still a goodie- because fedoras rarely go out of style. In my opinion, I think everyone should own a fedora.
