The Pleated Maxi Skirt.
There is nothing more beautiful on a woman than a long skirt with a lot of movement when she walks. What I love best about this Tracy Reese skirt is that it has maximum versatility. It can easily be worn for an elegant event (which there is a matching top if interested), to a night out for dinner or even casually during the day with a nice pair of flat gladiator sandals. Here, I chose dinner attire and went for monochromatic details. Don’t know what monochromatic means? Well, it happens to be the term that is used when describing an outfit put together all in one color or in varied versions of a single shade. Monochromatic has been a trend multiple times in the past, but has been a MUST HAVE trend since last fall. Don’t worry ladies, this MUST HAVE isn’t going anywhere for Spring Season 2015 (SS15) either.
The beauty about monochromatic detailing is that your options are endless. It can literally be done in any color, and the trick to it is pairing different textures together that really show the separate pieces individually. For example, the skirt I have on is 100% polyester, the jacket is leather and the top is a 100% linen (with a small polyester underlay) material. So go to your closets and see what you have to create your own monochromatic look for this spring. Until next time.
Always be kind,
Erica
