We all know this SS15 season has brought us the modern gingham print, meeting both the demands of the classic and contemporary styles. Once known as the little checkered print is a thing of the past. Current designers have this bold print standing out with bright, vivid colors saying, “All eyes on me.” There is something about gingham that transcends the eye into almost a kaleidoscopic effect, especially when mixing bold colors; this Splendid top did just that for me.
I paired the bold shirt with a denim skirt to stay in the same color story as the shirt. When you are wearing a top that is really busy or very bold, it is best to stay near the same color family for a solid bottom. This denim skirt by BCBG Max Azria is perfect for summer and can be worn with so many things. Remember denim on denim is still a huge trend!
