White Statements

As the season’s begin to change and when warm weather first occurs, a new life becomes of us. We begin to seem happier as we think of many past summer pleasures. Our energy and attitudes become more lively and enjoyable. I guess that’s why every time I hear Will Smith’s song “Summertime” nostalgia takes over and I find myself living in a daydream of memories from college days. I recently looked through old college pictures reminiscing, yet I couldn’t help to have the oh-so-ever often thought, ‘I can’t believe I wore that outfit out!’ Yes, I know, we have all looked back at pics and said what was I thinking?! Yet at the time, you thought it was so cool. Well, that’s exactly what trends are, they come and go, only to come back alive a decade or two later in a more polished way.

Every season has it’s trends, but one trend that has always been hot for summer is the ALL white statement. I fell in love with this great ensemble by BCBG Max Azria due to two things: culottes and cutouts. It combined two great trends together in one piece. When wearing an all white outfit this summer make it simplistically chic with effortless flow or go bold with gold accessories and khaki/tan accents. Some other key pieces for summer are utility swimsuits, the ever-so popular gladiator sandal, stripes in bold colors, the slip dress, the cropped and off-the-shoulder tops. Enjoy the warm weather 🙂
