When we think of style combinations its becoming more normal to think of pairing a dress with the perfect pair of pants. Especially a dress like this Dragon Fly Cape by Show Me Your Mumu. When it comes to originality, this combo nails it. When recreating a similar look it’s important to make sure there is a common color in all three items when pairing. This rule is essentially applied to everything in combinations, especially when pairing prints with stripes or prints on prints. So for example, take a plaid printed blazer with the color navy in it and pair it with a white and navy striped blouse, and voila! An eye catching ensemble has been created.
Great outfits are created when you think outside the box. So don’t limit yourself to rules, such as you can’t wear white pants passed Labor Day–because you can–especially when paired correctly. (For example: Take a navy blouse with white window pane stripes, pair it with a long black duster vest with white straight legged work pants and a black two strap heel = perfect combo for white pants in fall!) Hope this is somewhat helpful! Until next time.
Always be kind,
