Game day attire.
I spruced up a regular tailgating outfit with some leather leggings. The leather leggings (from BCBG Maxazria, opposed to jeans, creates a whole different look. A little more on the upscale side for tailgating, but certainly one that can be done. My son, boyfriend and I all had to go out on to the field that day, so I thought a little dressier attire would be appropriate.
The colors of our hometown college football team, The Marshall Thundering Herd, are white, green and black. So I mixed exactly those three colors. I added a black cardigan over the white collared tunic and belted it with a black belt. Then, my final layer piece was the green vest (from Talbots), which completed my game day gear with all three colors. The outfit could have looked okay without the black cardigan, but the layering adds more interest to the outfit and helps to tie everything together. I also wore, Toms wedged black booties, which were comfortable for about 5 hours.
