The Many Ways to Styling a Dress

There is something so stunning when watching a dress that barely touches a woman’s silhouette, not to mention how incredibly amazing it feels. This barely pink dress called, “Janella”, by BCBG Max Azria lays and hangs perfectly with little effort, and the fabric is irresistibly soft to the touch, with 64% cotton and 36% rayon.  

I adore “Janelle” for all seasons. In the summer she has a little peek-a-boo to the back, adding just a touch of surprise sexiness, which is win-win for all women–no one wants to be over sexy. You always want to keep it classy with some interest. This dress is the ultimate investment. The fabric and color is perfect to transition into all seasons and can be worn in a very casual or a dress-to-impress kind of way.  The shoe pairing is limitless for warmer seasons:  flats, a two strap heel, wedges, pumps, or even the infamous white sneaker. And if you really want to add a more casual twist, throw in a ball cap that compliments it’s barley pink color and wear with white sneakers. (Sometimes, style is really just thinking outside of the box.)

For cooler seasons it can be layered with a duster coat, a fur vest, a floppy fedora, a chunky sweater or a cocoon coat. Paired with an over-the-knee boot, open-toe bootie (or also called a “shootie”) and a platform shoe with a block heel. I would keep to the lighter shades of taupe and neutral palettes when pairing. When it comes to thinking outside the box for fall and winter, think about how it could be an additional longer layer to your look. Wear the dress with cream dress pants, paired with a light colored chunky sweater (champagne, light nude or cream) and a nude or cream cocoon coat, with  pointy-toed metallic pumps in champagne or silver. #Swooning right now.
