This look was inspired for a night out in freezing temperatures. It’s flirty, yet warm. So grab a a longer tunic, a chunky sweater and some leggings and you’re set to go! The BCBG Max Azria leather leggings keep you well insulated in the bitter cold, granted some booties would be warmer, but I couldn’t resist the added detail the Vince Camuto gladiator heels provided to the overall outfit (at least it wasn’t a two strap). The black and creme long-sleeved tunic by Rag and Bone is awesome for a layering piece because each side has a slit, which shows more of the leather leggings and creates a more flattering cut- and more importantly the length is appropriate for the leggings. Paired with the tunic is a creme cowl necked sweater by Express and it is so thick and warm, perfect for the cold! The gold spiked clutch is from Aldo, definitely one of my favs, but with this size of clutch you can only fit your few must haves from your purse accessories- unfortunately. But overall, this is definitely the ideal outfit for a cold night out.
Tonight I’m having an early dinner celebration for my son’s birthday, so I will probably wear a pair of ankle booties-or maybe even black Uggs. At the end of the day it all comes down to how you feel, and depending on the cold and my mood it very well could be the Ugg boots. Sometimes you just don’t feel like wearing any type of heel. But, if I were going out for a night on the town, I would definitely do these gladiator heels, you are only outside for a few minutes anyway, right? Links to items below.
