I have a friend who always complains about me wearing “too much flow” – as he phrases it. I keep telling him that for women its not about wearing tight clothing to show off a figure, well maybe for some it is, but it’s more about telling a story with confidence. Personally, I’m a firm believer in leaving a little mystery, and most men appreciate that, unless it’s your gay best friend who likes to pimp you out to get into places quicker.

Reasons why I love loose and baggy clothing:

  1. You’re more approachable.
  2. Gives off a ‘I don’t give a f**k’ vibe.
  3. Hides a bloated day.
  4. You can eat as much as you want.
  5. It’s choosing comfort over trying to be sexy, which we already have naturally, right? 🙂

There is one thing I hate– and that is a mini bodycon dress. There is nothing great about that first impression, unless its coming from a horny male. So ladies, if you own one, please toss it or at least wear it with a suit jacket to display some kind of chastity. (Sorry, but not sorry, there could be much more thought and creativity into what you are wearing. ) Let’s change the subject and move on to these amazing Scotch & Soda jeans, shall we?

Needless to say, these jeans are uber baggy and super comfy! The patchwork details made the jeans my primary focal point when pulling this look together. I kept the top (also Scotch & Soda) black and simple and pulled out the red with a classic anorak jacket by Eileen Fisher. The shoes are by Ralph Lauren, which I’m completely obsessed with the tan cork that lies within the platform of these shoes, and did I mentioned how comfy they are as well? Hard to believe with a heel that high- I know -but with the platform and block heel combined, they are pretty comfortable to say the least. Mr. Lauren knew what he was doing 🙂

Until next time. Always be kind,

Erica xx
