“Deck the halls with boughs of holly…”
Happy Holidays everyone! It’s officially a winter wonderland here which means I’m spending more time than ever inside. In the past, I have talked about how self-actualization, mindfulness, and meditation is a huge part of my life but what I haven’t discussed is how my surroundings, particularly my home, play such a huge role in that.
When you invest and put thought into your surroundings it just seems to help the good vibes flow that much easier.
Much like I set up an area in my home for meditating and relaxing, this year I wanted my space to reflect some serious Christmas cheer. I went all in for my holiday decor because nothing makes me happier or more joyful than seeing my space decorated with festive trappings- and seeing my son enjoy it as well.
I think any kind of interior decorating, Holiday decor included, all comes back to your own personal preferences. Maybe you prefer white decorations with fresh greenery or all of your decor made by your kids in art class with popsicle sticks and red yarn as the main motifs. Whatever your taste is, white or multicolored lights, simple or Clark Griswold-esque the most important thing is that you have fun with it!
